Here is a very rare Mokhari julkirs rug made by the Pashtun people of S.E. Afghanistan. The weaving is reminiscent of Tibetan loop weaving. The function of this piece is debatable as it is too short for a sleeping rug so I believe it has been made as a “sitting” rug.
Antique Baluch prayer rug Kawdani from North Afghanistan. Very fine with a camel ground and featurung the old curled leaf border. (Needs a small repair in the selvedge top right but generally in very good condition.)
