Antique Ersari Turkmen torba

Ersari Turkmen Sumac Torba in mint condition. This piece has a superb design balance featuring a large chequerboard elim at the bottom containing five large quincunx motifs in cotton.Dyes are madder indigo and a nice bottle green and horse hair fringe. I am 90% sure this is Ersari but it could also have been made by the Goklan Turkmen of Iran or even the Jaffabeh, further research is underway.
