Antique Zabol Baluch rug.

This wonderful Zabol Baluch rug has just arrived with great wool and colour (I purchased this  as a Quchan Baluch, but think it is from S.E.Iran around the Sistan dessert area) .Baluch carpets are traditionally woven by nomadic tribes that span across Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Therefore, they are not made in specific villages, but rather by various tribes within the Baluch region. Each tribe has its own unique style and cultural influences, which are reflected in the design and motifs of their carpets.
